A network for champions of contraceptive access policy.

How we lead

Right by Women is a network of experts and conservative policy leaders working to expand access to contraception through practical, evidence-based policy. We help members learn from one another, support policy champions, and share the evidence for contraceptive access with lawmakers and the public.

Policy support

Educational briefings, subject matter expertise, and technical assistance for champions of contraceptive access.

Messaging

Communications support, storytelling, earned media, and tracking narrative trends.

Cross-collaboration

Connecting leaders and experts for mutual support and convening state- and issue-specific working groups.

Research

Producing evidence-based policy analyses, and identifying and filling research gaps in contraceptive access policy.

How we work

We support contraceptive policy backed by rigorous research and evidence-based analysis.

We do not work or weigh in on other issues.

We work with leaders to advance contraceptive access through a lens of family autonomy and thriving; maternal and child health; and limited, effective government. We applaud pragmatic and incremental policy improvements that suit local realities.

We focus on shared learning and amplifying allies and champions. We foster collaboration among members, support policy champions, and educate lawmakers and the public on the evidence for contraceptive access.

We base our messaging on evidence, without attacks or negativity.

Why access matters

Strong Families

Access to contraception helps Americans make wise decisions for themselves and their families. Strong, thoughtfully formed families are the foundation of a thriving nation.

Healthy Mothers and Children

Access to contraception improves health outcomes for moms, babies, and entire families and women whose medical conditions require these safe and effective medicines.

Economic Opportunity

Access to contraception boosts women’s economic mobility, building stability for families today and opportunity for the next generation.

Limited Government

Access to contraception reflects the values of fiscal responsibility and limited, effective government. Smart contraceptive policies remove unnecessary regulatory barriers to access and save significant taxpayer dollars.
